Clutch engages smoother now???
So today I had an unfortunate mishap. Some asshole ran a red light in front of me and i had to stop extremely abruptly. I think i was in 3rd gear doing about 35mph and stopped. Only problem is that it was so sudden I completely forgot to press the clutch. Car stalls out while in gear and abs light flashes (asshole keeps going). I started back my car and drove off.
I know this had and effect on the clutch, it feels lighter now and engages alot smoother than before. I think it most likely shortened the life of my clutch drastically. Only thing is its comfortable to drive now, really smooth engagement when taking off and when switching gears. If i come to a complete stop, put it in first and let out the clutch slowly, the car still engages and inches forward but i havent let out the clutch completely without giving it gas for fear of stalling out. Should I replace my clutch? Did i burn it out? and how much more life do i have on this clutch? |
if all u did was stall it comming to a stop, nothing is wrong im sure (unless it was there prior and now u have a placebo effect)
