Clutch?!!?

Around 3 months ago I burned my clutch. Yes I was stupid and it was my fault. I had my friend mechanic fix it and the car run no problem. Yesterday night I was driving normally , no abuse no crazy driving, switching lane , I pressed the clutch , reduced the gear to accelerate and clutch pedal didn't come back and I couldn't throw in any gear. I went to the side , turned off my car and pulled the pedal back with me hand. The car drove but it wasn't ok, it was very shaky from 1st gear and making weird wheezing noises. I came home and left the car for a day. Today morning I went work. The was loud cracking like sound when I started the car and car was very shaky from reverse and 1st gear. After making couple miles I couldn't shift gears anymore and I was forced to stop. I had the car towed to Mazda dealer since the was problems with clutch pedal before and there was extended warranty on clutch pedal ( I had it on CARFAX and paper as well). They charged me $130 for estimate and all they did is raised up the car and smelled the clutch and said its burned and they cant do anything about it....So all together I spent around $400 for towing and estimate at MAZDA and didn't fix anything. What the hell do I do? Is the clutch common issue with RX8 or I'm just unlucky????? Did MAZDA ripped me off???

You need to get in there and see what went wrong. Your first mistake was to continue driving it after having such a big problem, that probably made it even worse. Hopefully its parked and not moving anywhere now until you see what the deal is. You said you had a friend who was a mechanic, why didn't you just take it to him in the first place?

He wasn't in town. He'll be back on Tuesday and will check the car. I'm just really upset that something keeps happening with the clutch...

It could be a broke clutch peddle assy, it could also be your master or slave clutch cylinders are bad or the throwout bearing is hanging up. Any one of those could have also caused the clutch to burn.
Your in Bloomingdale, IL correct? Most of us use Continental Mazda in Naperville for our parts and service. They sponsor our local club and the owners have been racing for as long as I remember.

So today after couple hours surgery on my girl , we changed the clutch and it all good now. I guess I have to go easier on her , I do drive pretty hard and I beat the car a lot. I dont know what was the exact resason for the clutch pedal not coming back but the clutch was burn overall. Lucky my the guy got me the new clutch under warranty so I had to do was pay for the labor :/
