Clunking Noise after Exhaust Install
Ok, following on from fitting my new clutch I now have the following problem.
When driving at normal speeds 30mph there is a clunk noise from somewhere under the car when going over bumps. This was not present before I did the work so I can rule out any suspension and brake issues as they have not been touched. It has had the gearbox removed and reinstalled. The prop with prop frame removed and reinstalled. Gearbox and diff fluid change. New exhaust system. Now suggested causes are: Diff fluid needs checking (not sure why) Exhaust system fouling on body Part of transmission loose after reinstalling Also regarding suspension, the car was jacked up for two weeks so would the springs have been able to move? Seems like you have top get under the car and see if the exhaust is loose or some other items related to the trans work. The underside of a car gets dirty, a shiny area would indicate to me something close knocking it. I also once had a similar noise which ended up being a wench left under the hood.

When I had my headers installed they where hitting the crossmember right under it. Six spacers, three for each side did the trick.

probably an exhaust hanger. are you sure the PPF was re-installed properly?
