Climate control fix = No radio use? what gives?

Since its getting cold again, and I was experiencing no climate control. I decided to do the solder fix that many of you have had success with. So I follow the steps and finish the job. Put it back in and my radio display won't display anything and the center climate (defrost, etc..) will not work. I have verified that it receives power (it will eject cds) and it is putting out hot air now.

So any help w/ this issue would be greatly appreciated..

I have looked in to replacements w/ the clarion cx501, metra kit. I don't mind going that route but if its something that can be fixed I'd rather spare the money.

Thanks in advance guys and gals

I would expect that you either didn't plug something in...or fubarred something when you soldered it...hopefully the former :)

Yeah probably something not connected or came loose when you put it back together, same thing happened to me. Reconnected and it was fine.

Alright! I found an issue! The Little circle connector (antenna) is broken off inside the unit.. Would that cause it to do this?

I just did this the other day, and had the same problem. My fix was replacing the 7.5 amp fuse inside behind the kick panel. I think the fuse is for A/C. After that, works perfect.

replaced the fuse.. no joy.. I've taken it out and looked at the solder points and made sure everything was connected fine.. The only thing I see as far as the connections is the previously mentioned antenna plug.
