Check engine light flasshed 3 or 4 times after gunning it?????
 

OK heres a new one....i was out last night after reading about our cars many many problems out there and i took off from a roll after i got on the highway the rpms move so damn fast it went all the way up to near 9000 i dont think i went over but there was no beep. anyway within a few seconds after the engine light flashed about 3 or 4 times and went out never to come on again. it has actually happened 2 times before after getting on it. whats the deal...anyone seen this one before or do i have a problem??

and as for the beep, it very well could have sounded and you just not heard it. the beep is very quiet and easily gets lost in road/engine/wind/radio noise. and even if you did go over 9k, you didn't hurt anything. unless you miss a shift (3 to 2 instead of 4) you can't go past 9500rpm, as that's where the fuel cut off is.

ahhhh ok good to hear ....ill tell ya this site really eases my mind at times. i was at the dealer and i checked on all these recalls and flashes and i asked him about the engine light....he said it could have been from me losing traction and something misreading it and if there was a real problem the light would be on constantly. but i need to have somethin done next week and they said they will take a look but it should be fine. but thanks for your input
