Check Engine Light, Diagnostic reads Ford code?

I took my rx8 to autozone to after my check engine light came on.

The code came back P2070, which there computer says is a ford code for the intake manifold tuning valve is stuck open. Is this correct, and is there something I can do to fix this myself?

95% sure
Autozone told me to try going somewhere else, that it might be they're machine. They recommended firestone, but I'm trying to avoid being charged $50+ for something that could be a simple fix. Are there places that do free diagnostics other than autozone?

Just flip it open and shut by hand. If it feels sticky, you might need to take off the upper manifold and take the SSV apart.
However, it is likely just the switch or the vacuum solenoid.
