Check engine light blinking at high rpm

I have an 04 with about 120k miles on it but the engine its self only has around 80k (had it replaced recently) my check engine light has been on solidly since I moved here but now I've noticed that once I get into high rpms it starts blinking, there's also a bit of lag in the power as well. It made the trip all the way from FL to San Diego here only having trouble once I got high into the mountains. I was told by 1 mechanic that is was my TPS but then I was told by another mechanic that rx8's don't have TPS's. I'd hate to take it to the dealer without having some sort of idea. If not they'll pretty much be able to say what ever the heck they want. Please any ideas advice or even assitance would be greatly appreciated

get the code and report back. a flashing cel usually means a misfire (not good). when was the last time your plugs, coils, and wires were replaced? that is most likely your problem. next time use the search bar before starting a new thread thats been beaten to death

took awhile to get the code but it's P2259 it said secondary air intake circuit low, and another code that read cylinder 1 miss fire.. My spark plugs should be fine I had just got them changed maybe 2 months ago
