Changing stock spoiler into mazdaspeed spoiler
anyone ever done this? if so will it leave any marks behind? I have a stock spoiler but I am looking to purchase a mazdaspeed one to replace it with. thanks

The Mazdaspeed rear spoiler fits in the same holes as the appearance spoiler. If there are any marks on the trunk lid depends on if any grit got between it and the current spoiler and how tight it is bolted to the lid.

You will see worn paint and fading where the stock spoiler was, almost guaranteed. We have removed 3 or 4 stock spoilers and installed MS spoilers and all of the stock spoilers left wear marks on the trunk.

Yes, by repainting the trunk.

I would imagine wet sanding and buffing would take it out.
Thats what I did when I took the lip spoiler of my MS6, its just the clear that gets scuffed. |
From what I have seen the wear is thru the clear and the paint down to the metal and usually has surface rust.

Thats a repaint!
