Car will not start.... try this
 

For those of you having issues with the car not starting and have DTC codes that have to do with O2 sensors and other things, try this, if you want to.

1. Unhook everything that plugs in to something in the engine bay.

2. Pull all fuses that have anything to do with the fuel and computer. There are close to 10 of them.

3. Disconnect the positive lead to the battery and clean the terminal and inside with a terminal cleaner. Clean the inside good, too.

4. Pull the 'room fuse'

5. Wait about 2 to 3 minutes.

6. Plug everything back in and make sure the connectors are in good shape.

7. Put all fuses back in.

8. Reconnect the positive side to the battery and make sure it is secure with a good connection.

In many situations, this will completely reset everything and, the car will start as, it did the trick with my car.

If there are issues that come back after doing this, resolve issues and repeat above procedure to confirm DTC(s) does/do not come back.

I have gotten codes for all kinds of things and, it seems that the issue was just a low battery, bad battery connection, or corrosion. No guarantee this fix every car but, it is a start to see if the codes are real or a glitch.

The first time this happened to me, if I had towed my car to the dealer, it would have cost me thousands and, I did not believe that all the codes were real. I did the above the first time and drove for 40k miles before any new issue surfaced. I did the above again and the car started and drove fine every time.

Every situation is different so, it may or may not work on other cars depending on the issue or issues it has and how valid they are.
