Burnt Transmission?

I think i have a burnt out transmission i leant my aunts boyfriends borrow my 8 for some errands. When he got back i went to the car to grab something but i noticed the smell. It lasted more than an hour. Do i have a burnt clutch ? if i do how much to fix?

If the clutch is abused, etc. it can give off a smell, etc. The clutch disk is designed to wear over the course of it's life. If the smell was reasonably short lived then you're probably okay unless you notice additional symptoms.

I lit 4rth gear up once. It stuck for a bit, but really had no ill effects.

They smell stuck like it lasted for a while acutally and it stunk. And i feel like the clutch is more loose. Like the firtion point is way off.

Get going up a hill at a moderate speed and a gear that will give you about 2500 rpm. Then stomp on the gas. If the rpm increase rapidly but are not accompanied by comparable acceleration, then your clutch is slipping.

Other than that, it's hard to say how much damage a particular overheat has done. If it wasn't too bad, then the glazing of the friction surface may wear off over time on its own.

when i launch on a hill doesnt seems as powerful anymore. On i hill i go on all the time so i know where the point where i release the clutch and start rolling with giving it gas. But now i try it i dont roll up i just get to the point of stalling.
