burnt oil smell from exhaust...

Hi all!

I need help...I checked lot of treads, but I haven't found any which is similiar to my problem. My car is still the '03 MT 231HP with ~80 000 miles (1st engine). So today when I was at the car washer, I had to reverse back 30-40 meter to go an other gate. When I stopped I felt really strong burnt oil smell. There wasn't any other car there, so I was sure it came from the RX. When I stopped, I didn't shut down the car, I checked the smell, and it came from the exhaust. I didn't see any "blue" smoke just only the smell. The engine was warm (~40 minutes after the start), and I didn't notice any other problem. It has the power, starts easily, the idle is ok, no cel or any other warning light. I don't know if it matters we have very cold weather here recently -10/-12 celsius, and I used the car only in city below 4000 rpm.
The oil was changed by ~300 miles before. 4 liter 5W30 dexelia as always.

After the wash when I came back home, I decided, I try to "clean" it...for 3-4 minutes I used it near the red line (7000-9000), -it is always a pleasure, but on icy roads it is a bit risky - and when I parked in front of my house, there wasn't any smell. Interesting...
I will use the car tomorrow again, I hope there won't be any problem...

Does anybody have any idea what could be this smell? Or has anybody met this kind of problem before? Please help me guys, I'm really scared. When last time my car (it was an Audi A4 1.8T) had a similar smell, it was a really expensive problem. I know it is an other world, and those rules aren't working in the wankel's world, but burn't oil smell is never a good sign...

Thanks in advance guys, and still sorry for my English!

remember oil is injected into the combustion chamber via an oil metering pump. this is a normal function for a rotary engine. how heavy of an oil smell are we talking about here? where exactly on the exhaust did you smell the oil coming from?

I know it is normal that oil is injected into the combustion chamber, but my problem is, that the car haven't had this smell since yesterday. I've used it for ~15000 miles.
How heavy smell?...hmm...it was strong enough to feel it after 5 sec in the car with closed doors/windows. So it was strong, and it came from the end of the exhausts. Usually when the engine is warm it doesn't have any smell.
Today I will try the car again, I hope everything will be fine.

check that giant black rubber thing before your throttle body... is it filled with oil?

yeah check the intake tube before the throttle body if you have oil in there u have too high pressure in the "crankcase" and that means ur prob burning alot more than it's supposed to!

ok so im having this same problem but mine does it after it warms up and idles down. i havent checked that oil box but my oil pressure guage is reading that it is infact high. how can this porblem be solved? will it hurt the engine to run it like this? i also bought my car and found out that it doesnt have the stock cat on it. but the car is completely stock. exhaust and all.

dude, those engines burn oil by design. my R3 smells like burning oil since I bought it
half a quart every 600 miles if you cant smell it you have a problem.

but it also bogs if i have it idling and then rev it up to about 4k. it bogs before anything amd i can feel it throughout the whole car. then the smoke comes out. if its just at a rev its fine but when i just hit it then it poors on out.
