sorry to bump an old thread, but i just had this happen to me.
so the story a few months ago when i turn my AC to the first position 1 on all the way cold, it would have an odor [hard to describe] but today i was on the freeway and it was raining so i turned on the defroster and turned the nob to 1 and left it there. a couple drives later [same day within a couple hours apart] i turned the AC on and it smells like clutch/burning rubber"ish" coming from the AC vents. another thing to note, i was on the 1st lane on the freeway going 70 in the rain and it would feel like the water would be smacking the underside of the car hard [some deep parts and grooves on the freeway , so i immediately switched lanes and the water hitting the underside of the car stopped, but thats when the AC smell starts, well around there. |
Any update on the smell?
