Broken Sun Visor- Does the warranty cover it

I know this has happend quite often with the 8. My driver side sun visor just snapped when I tried to fold it. Has anyone been able to claim it on the warranty?

Mine is a 2005, had 17,000 miles when I bought it from the dealer.

Your B to B warranty should cover it.

Hundreds of sunvisors have been claimed under warranty. Ask the dealer if they will warranty it. They'll answer your question for you.

I've had both of mine replaced by Mazda under warranty. When the driver's side broke, I ripped the wires out because it was hanging by them and hitting me in the face. This situation was not conducive to safe operation. They replaced everything to like-new condition.

Mine Sunvisor Broke Too

Damn! I sure wish I had read the board more often and known about this problem before the thing broke yesterday! My '04 RX-8 only has a little over 25k on it, but is beyond the original bumper to bumper warranty time period. Mazda won't cover it, will they? GRRRRR. After reading the board, it's obvious the sunvisors are crap, and Mazda ought to take responsibility for this.

I bought the car new, and I'm taking it to the dealer next week for them to look at it. From what I've read on the 'Net, I expect they'll tell me it's not covered. Anybody know an effective way to complain to/about Mazda if they won't fix it?
