Auxiliary Fan Trouble
So my auxiliary fan doesn't turn on any longer. (The problem is that I live in Michigan and have my car stored winters/ also had a cold air intake installed, which IDK if that is related.)
So basically I cannot tell how long this has been happening. IE you KNOW when the aux fan runs bc it's so loud but surprisingly didn't notice it NOT running until now. I purchased a set of new fan relays to put in but can't even find a diagram to show me where they go? - Figured this would be a easy/cheap check. Also I am not sure where the temp sensor is located to kick it on? |
No ideas? I've searched for the aux fan relay and can't find out which one it is... or where the sensor is.

It's probably because you posted your thread in the wrong forum.
Series 1 troubleshooting would have been a much better fit for this question of yours. BC. |

Have you taken it to your Mazda dealer? I bet they can fix it. I think it's important that those fans work.

Scroll waaaay down. RX8 workshop manual. I find it works best using IE in compatibility mode. Otherwise the pages don't refresh correctly it seems |
Are you sure the fan is not frozen..........have you tried to spin by hand?
Are you sure nothing dropped in there and is jammed keeping it from turning? |

Thanks so much for the help guys... I did try spinning it before and it moved freely but upon further inspection I don't think it moves as freely as it should and am going to need to replace the motor. |
