Automatic Door Lock and Key Fob Trouble
 

So, I am having two problems at the moment.

Well, for one my key FOB isn't putting out the transmissions like its supposed to, its transmitting very very weak. Over the last two weeks its gotten weaker and weaker to where it doesn't unlock or lock or anything anymore. I had taken it to autozone to get it tested, and I have to be within like 2 inches of the FOB tester for it to work. I replaced the fob battery and that doesn't work... So the only thing is the FOB is bad right?

Second problem is now that I have to manually lock and unlock my car, I hit the unlock and lock button to do both doors, but the driver door will stay in the position its in, it will twitch like it wants to lock or unlock but stay in its position. I tried WD-40 and that doesn't work.. although I haven't taken the door panel off I just tried from spraying into it.

So any suggestions or help for either problem would be awesome.

Do you have the door open when you do this? Or the key in?

I know my door lock just twitches if i try to lock the door with the key in the car and the door open. (it's to prevent you from locking your keys in a running car.)

Well, the door is open, but I always have key in hand. Sometimes it will lock, but then, if I click unlock it won't budge. Others it won't move period.

Something is not working properly or something is defective or broken. Check your locking mechanism inside the door. Probably, something is loose or broken inside.
