Anyone have any rear interior creaking noises?

I'm almost 100% positive its coming from the passengers side back trim near the trunk. anytime I go over bumps, etc, it creaks like crazy. Driving me freaking mad. I was just curious as to if anyone has had this happen to them, my last rx8 did the same thing. I did a search but the results were inconclusive.

I had the same problem and it's common on these cars. It was worse in cold weather.

It's the nylon plastic peices used to align the rear window during assembly. These are under the headliner. I just sprayed these things with a little penetrating oil and the noise has never returned. hope this helps.

Thanks for chiming in! Can you elaborate a bit more on their location/where/how I should spray?

In my first 12 months of ownership, my dealer found and fixed the plastic rattles as part of adjustments covered by warranty. After that I haven't had but a few. And yes it can be worse in colder weather. Just get someone to sit near the rattle while you drive to help pinpoint the location. Most can be fixed quickly and inexpensively.

Just check your springs, it doesn't hurt to take a 10 second look. My rearleft was creaking and it was a broken spring.

I have the same exact squeak, too. Please elaborate! Thanks in advance.

I just sprayed this with lube and the creaking was gone.
