RX8Club.com - Another Clunking Sound....Please Help

Ok, so I have heard a clunking noise lately in the car and I cannot figure out what it is. It started about 4 weeks ago while I was on a curvy road, and I would only hear it when I was going around a curve to the left. I thought it may be a cv joint, or something to do with the rearend but was not sure as it is very hard to pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

The sound went way after a couple of days and didnt happen all that often anyways, so I just let it go and forgot about it. Then yesterday, on the last run at Autocross I heard it again. I drive my car spiritedly in the evenings, especially on that curvy road as it is on my way to work, so I dont think the Autocross caused it to start up again.

Anyways, I heard it a little more last night and some today as well. I jacked the car up and shook everthing I could and everything felt tight and secure. I drove it up and down the road and noticed that it would do it if I turned a slight left, like going around a curve, but not everytime.

I also noticed that it does it a lot more steady when I'm going between 40-43 MPH in 2nd or 3rd gear. By now, I'm really starting to wonder what it could be, and then, when I stopped at a stop sign. I heard it again, and it was continuous. It sounds lke a clunking/rattle/grind noise. Very hard to explain...but it sounds like its coming from directly below me the car. About where the Cat or the Transmission is. It was loud inside the car, but from the outside I could barely hear it. While it was doing it at a complete stop, I had the car in neutral and didnt have the brakes on either.

Now, I think its safe to say its not in the rearend but I dont know what it is.

Could it be the cat rattling or a bad cat? After hearing it coming from that area, I remember that I heard a similar sound when I first got the car. I took it right back to the dealer and they replaced it and told me there was a midpipe on it and they replaced it with a stock cat.

I have the RP Supercat and have only had it since last fall, and dont drive it in the winter at all so it's really not very old. Or is it a completely different problem all together? Please help.

Also, I have noticed the seems to be running a little better lately and the steering/suspension seems to be doing fine as I had one of my best days yet at Autocross. I dont know if this is relevant but I figured I would add it in as well. Thanks.
