Disconnect / reconnect the ones under each seat.

The above is to possibly fix the airbag light!

Now...........the coolant light coming on in low gears at high rpm's is because your coolant sensor is bad. It's a known issue and unless you are under warranty, you will have to unplug it at the coolant bottle and then just make sure you check your coolant level often.......or get a new bottle. The sensor is part of the bottle. Do a search on coolant bottle and a whole host of threads will pop up.

I have to go see what else you put in your other thread and see, as it seems to have different info in it!

Did you see a rapidly expanding white pillow?

:uhh:

jenifer 02-10-2010 11:00 PM

Okay.. Ill try the sensor unplug.. And its under warrenty. But why didn't the test pick up anything?? I mean I'm so lost how everything jus poped up and my car is acting up bad and at mazda there saying nothing.. I just want to get everything straightn out on my baby... I'm scared that all the issues are going to get worse...

paulmasoner 02-10-2010 11:05 PM

well the coolant sensor will get worse, but like they said, replace it under warrantee, or just unplug it like the rest of us

jenifer 02-10-2010 11:07 PM

1 more thing mazda is saying that my aftermarket exaust could be the issue... How???? I'm just not understanding... And my exaust sounds like there is a bracket loose when it sits at idole or when I get into it it has a noise like something is loose? I asked mazda to check is out then again its aftermarket so...m but they said there is nothing loose that I just need to go back to stock exaust... But it just started that noise and I have had it for over a year so....

paulmasoner 02-10-2010 11:10 PM

a catback exhaust is not affecting your coolant level sensor or airbag system in anyway. get used to that kind of treatment from mazda

jenifer 02-10-2010 11:11 PM

Unplug it? How do u go about that?

jenifer 02-10-2010 11:13 PM

No pillow!

you see the picture they posted? thats what you will find when looking under the front seats from behind. unplug the connector, plug it back in.

fwiw just noticed your sig has header back exhaust - still doesnt make a difference as far as coolant level sensor, or airbag system

jenifer 02-10-2010 11:22 PM

Its greddy exaust but still... Yeah mazda kept saying all day that it has to do with my cold air or my exaust blah blah... Yeah. I just don't see how that is any kind of issue with anything.. I have clear side markers and my drivers side has a short or something and I tryed to asked them about it and they blamed it on the led bulb... so to them aftermakret stuff does it all when something is wrong...

paulmasoner 02-10-2010 11:28 PM

the exhaust or intake in no way have anything to do with your coolant level sensor, or airbags. neither do clear side markers. if you have electrical problems(shorts etc) there is always the possibility that is a factor in both.

BUT i will guarantee you its not the case with the coolant level sensor. warrantee it, or unplug it. it will get worse, and come on more often and easier until the point that highway cruising rpms cause the light to stay on. its simply a flawed design in the sensor

jenifer 02-10-2010 11:29 PM

This all started the otherday when I was driveing and my car started jolting at lk 70mph and the gas wouldn't excelerate it did this twice n the same day bout 2hrs apart and now all these light also.... But all spaced out.

jenifer 02-10-2010 11:34 PM

Okay that makes me feel better because I'm like why is that doing that... The air bag and the jolting and the gas pedal all have me stunned idk what's the deal... I appriciate all ur help tho.

expo1 02-11-2010 07:42 AM

Is your Greddy an SP2? I had an issue with my first one that you might also have.

My airbag light is on all the time and I have no idea why.... I don't pay much attention to warning lights in cars anymore.. If you're water temp and oil temp are good, your fluid levels are right and the car is not making any unusual sounds or smells, then it's good to go. Or, I hope anyway.

jenifer 02-11-2010 12:13 PM

Um.. Not sure the exaust was already on the car... Way 2 find out? And what kinda problems did u have with your greddy exaust?

jenifer 02-11-2010 12:17 PM

Yeah def all my fluids are great I always check them nvr can b 2 safe. I jus get freaked out wen lights come on

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=122798 is a thread about my first Greddy SP2. You will also need to get a flashlight and look under the car to check.

jenifer 02-11-2010 03:00 PM

Oh boy... So u had a dime sized hole? Well idk what 2 do from here! Did urs make the raddle at and idol? Also when u get into it real hard it would sound like it was going to raddle itself off my car.. I just want to figure out how to get it fixed! I bought it with the car so no warrenty for me...

expo1 02-11-2010 03:03 PM

If you also have broken exhaust hanger it can make a rattle. A hole on the exhaust will also make noise. Someone you trust needs to look under the car.

jenifer 02-12-2010 01:45 PM

Alright.... Man I also need someone who knowas what there doing also.....

Mazurfer 02-13-2010 11:05 AM

Yes, it really does sound like you need someone that knows what they are doing to look over the entire car for you.
Not going to make you a friend here(and I know it's not an English class), but your spelling is atrocious. Might want to work on that. :wavey:
