If you haven't figured it out by now, Racing Beat is very well known and their flash does as advertised. It has been around for a long time. Don't be scared.

........and never mind the condescending kids that have nothing of value to add and choose to spend their time beating the search thing like a dead horse. You will learn to ignore their lack of meaningful existence here. Sometimes they do post funny jokes though.

Technical specs on their flash (which is now 3-year-old "technology" can be found here:

There are a few interesting things to note:

Since it is a "one-time" reflash, if you bring your vehicle in for service, it will likely be overwritten and you will have lost your initial investment. You would have to send the PCM back to RB and pay an additional $150 to have it reflashed again.

They also do not address the oil metering system, which is a shame since need for substantial amounts of pre-mix is mitigated by increasing the oil injection volume.
Even Mazda realized that more oil was needed for street operation and they increased the amount in certain ranges over the years and actually deliver more oil in the AT cars which don't see the higher "engine-clearing" rev ranges.

They also don't increase the idle speed (the Renesis likes about 900 instead of the Federally mandated 800) and they didn't play with the ignition tables because they felt there was no benefit, which is incorrect.

They also gave up on fuel economy:

We made a serious effort to look for any increase in mileage we could possibly find - but to no avail. Since mileage is the result of operation in oxygen feedback, all we had to do was change the target oxygen lambda numbers in the PCM maps and we were able to uniformly lean the mixture any time the engine was in feedback. We tried approximately 1 1/2% lean of the standard maps. As a result, we got about 1/2% improvement in the brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC - a way of measuring the efficiency of turning fuel into power) and with it some slightly rough operation. After further testing, we confirmed that for the engine as it is now configured, Mazda has already cut the mixture to maximum efficiency - it is so close to ideal there was nothing significant we could do the improve it. This was discouraging to discover, but common sense says Mazda tried very hard to optimize fuel mileage - and our findings confirmed this.
There are quite a few people running around with the AccessPORT (myself included) that have seen upwards of a 20% fuel economy improvement.
That Racing Beat wasn't able to produce the same is a disappointment.
