acceleration sloww...0-60 in 15 seconds??

hey everyone,
first off, i'd like to introduce myself. I'm Frankie, and I just got myself an 04 rx8 about a week ago. its auto..i know i know..but it was either that or a dodge charger se.. i didnt have much options, since i had to purchase a car at a specific dealer cus of credit i had... and they didnt have it in stick. but anywhoo...

so far i'm liking the car alot, and when im cruising, i can speed up pretty well. but when im at a full stop, i just cant get the car to accelerate. like it takes forever to just get up to like 40, and then all of a sudden it kicks in. it seems like the first gear is really slow to pickup.

and i know its not just me bein a bad driver, i have an idea on what I'm doing. Just something doesnt feel right. I checked the spark plugs, weren't too bad, i cleaned them with brake parts cleaner. I also installed an intake.

still same exact speed. any ideas on what could be wrong? i timed my 0-60 speed to about 15 seconds...that just doesnt seem right..its like my old kia sportage..

altough when im already at a higher speed, i can speed up really nice and quick.

the car is an 2004 with around 35K miles on it. basically stock everything but the intake. but the problem was before and after the intake change.

thanks guys! any help will be appreciated.

oh and when its idle, the entire car rumbles and shakes pretty bad. but when im moving its nice and smooth...idk if thats normal. and on top of that, it takes a long time to crank before it starts =)

1st of all its an auto, less HP than the MT...second, our cars or torqueless N/A...and 3rd. you might wanna replace your ignition coils, they might be bad.

yea the coils is the only thing i still gotta check. and yea i know its an auto..but i should still be gettin better than 15 seconds, shouldnt I?
