ABS/Traction Control Lights and Cruise Control

Hey guys, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to wiring on a car. I've only owned my RX-8 for about 3 months now and I'm absolutely infatuated with this car. If I could find a woman that makes me feel the way it does, I would have a much better life.

The guy I bought it from had a few mods done to the car but the only ones that were electrical were some LED light pods under the dash on the driver and passenger side and an after market stereo.

On to the problem. I was having the ABS/Traction control lights come on intermittently for about a month but recently that has changed to they only come on when I turn on my head lights. Also, if I'm using cruise control and turn on my head lights it shuts itself off and will not reset (cruise light is still on but can't use it).

I'm fairly certain there's a wiring problem here (obviously) but I have no idea where to begin with troubleshooting it. I'd rather not take it to a Mazda dealer as the ones around here don't exactly seem too knowledgeable about the car. Also, I'd prefer to learn to do it myself so that if future issues arrive in this or another car I will know what I am doing.

I can take detailed pictures of the wiring if I know what to take pictures of. I'd very much appreciate any help/advice.

My best advice at this point would be to go read this thread I started.

If it helps, please post in there and let me know exactly what solved it. Even if you find something else besides what I listed as possibles, let me know what cures it please. I'd like to make this sort of an end-all thread without it getting too cluttered up with crap.

Good luck!
