90 mph or higher get vibrations

I don't do this offen but some times test out how everything handles at a higher speed on the interstate . When my 04 starts peeking high 90,s mph I get vibration as if some one would be shaken the car. Anyone ever get this? Now due to the fact I'm on any tour of duty and have to wait till I get back to look into this. Any suggestions ?

Btw I'm a newbie to the forms and so far I'm loving all the feed back and info everyone puts , not being a kiss ass saying tyvm this is very helpfull.

Most likely you have bent a rim. Could also be a warped brake rotor.

Great getting brembo break system and fuel management system when I get back ill check the rims as well thanks

It can be the tires or even a nail in one of them.

You are too vague.

This type of problem is best diagonosed by a on site mechanic.

it could be the road. many florida roads are like runways. i get shaking around 135, but i don't think i'm getting the same thing.

slow down.

Could be your tires need rebalanced. I had this problem a while back and got my tires balanced and an alignment done and it solved my problem. Anything can throw alignment out (ex. railroadtracks) gotta slow down for those :spank:

Hmm, i had a problem like this on my last car... very mild and intermitten, but would always shake at higher speeds. Turned out to be some mud caked to the inside of my wheel that, under normal speeds, didn't throw the the wheel out of balance, but did at high speeds.

On a lighter note... don't take civics down mud roads in Quebec that are close. OH, I actual took a pic of the aftermath. Sort of.

Sorry I just love this picture... and later on, this civic was stolen which allowed me to get the 8.

I had a similar issue and it was most likely an imbalance in the tire or uneven tread wear. Once I went to a new set of tires I never had the vibration again. I would get it above 85mph but it was really bad above 90mph.
