2003-2011 Mazda RX-8 Floatless Coolant Level Sensor Kit

I haven't used it, but it's so simple that it's practically impossible for it to not work.
The only thing is the the sensor isn't in that position stock, so you'd have to drill a hole and make sure that that bulkhead holds pressure. |
Do you guys think there is a need for this or does the latest revision of the reservoir suffice. My bottle is cracked at the seam where the cap goes on and the sensor is toast ever since I got the car. So I have to change the bottle anyway.

Check out the new AST from RX8Performance a forum vendor. You can get it with a sensor that is plug and play with OEM. http://www.rx8performance.com/products/ast |
If you're replacing it anyway you might as well just go stock. The aluminum one is probably just as good.
