2 parts electronical and audio

ok first of all SORRY EVERYONE if these have already been asked but some stuff is hard to find ok. anyways 1. i always drive around with a neon light blah blah my cousin had a cigarette and had no lighter so he used my cig lighter. after that my neon light wouldnt work in the cig lighter anymore. i tested it in a diff car and works just fine. so i saw there is acc fuse and acc relay the fuse is good and the relay apparantly is too because i switched out a good one for it and it still didnt work. 2. the drivers side seat warmer does not work. the light doesnt light up and no heat either, but the passenger side does work. again apparantly both fuses are just fine. and 3. my stereo skips SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH every single damn bump skips, links, help to how to change out the stereo and or any tips on how to fix skipping please?

Ever hear of a "Return" and/or "Enter" key?
Most people are going to breeze right by this as how you typed it out makes it hard to read.
If you were on a cell, walk outside and see how far you can throw it! :)
Anyway, see the pic below and check the right fuse for the cig lighter while I go try a decipher the rest of you post.

The seat warmer is a tougher issue. There are some threads on it, but more than likely, the wire has been cut or damaged.
I think this actually happens inside the seat itself.
You can check the wiring under the seat to make sure the connectors are good.
I'll go try and find that thread on the seat warmers.

CD player......I don't know?
Mine never skips.
Are these CD's you made at home or are they store bought?

Magana8 07-25-2010 10:10 AM

i burned them and im not sure if thats the problem but its with almost every cd, straight out of the computer into the car and it still skips

Magana8 07-25-2010 10:17 AM

lmao i bearly read what u meant about the enter and return lol sorry i just kinda lazy atm hahah. and thanks alot man i just checked those fuses and the cigarette is burnt :) now im just worried about my seat warmer

Mazurfer 07-25-2010 10:17 AM

Will they play on the computer okay?
Might be that you burned them to quickly, but I doubt it. Try a store bought one.

Here's the link to the seat warmer thread I was talking about.

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ht=seat+warmer

Good luck! It could be the switch, or it could be the damn wiring!
Read through that thread.

Good...........one down and two to go!

Magana8 07-25-2010 10:24 AM

woooooow that seat warmer thread is insanely detailed. i would have no idea where to start. and my cd player is random every once in a while it will be awsome and no skips but more than likely im always getting skipped. if you think u can help me find a thread on how to replace the cd player or any other advice :)

Search is your friend! ;)

Actually, use "advanced search".......maybe try "CD skipping"? Not sure, just try it. :fingersx:

Just about every single subject has been covered on this site at nausea, you just gotta take the time and find it.

Told you the seat warmer was potentially a tougher one! :sweatdrop

alright i got the cig lighter fixed. i went to wal mart and took the risk of getting a laser lens cleaner and it seems to be working better. so now the tough part is the freakin seat warmers.. sigh im not sure i will work on this one right now. i have to prep up to paint my car this weekend im going from red mica to pearl white. i might have to take out the seats so i dont get any red powder on them and if i end up doin that ill probably check out the wiring lol

Mazurfer 07-25-2010 11:25 AM

No better time than then.

Of course you could check the switch by popping the center console cover and switching the wiring real quick between the two(I believe they are on connectors).
This would confirm or deny the switch. Yes, you could use a meter, but if you don't have one......that will tell you if it is or is not the switch.

Magana8 07-25-2010 11:27 AM

well see how it goes lol thanks for all the help

You're welcome.

Report back if you determine and fix seat warmer, so we can have more data to share with others.
