Me too

Ah, I just thought you seemed slightly hypomanic. Hyperactivity is only superficially similar. No judgement; one of the things I like about my RX8 is that I haven't been late to an appointment with my psychiatrist since I got it.

superhypered 04-02-2011 10:29 PM

now thats ftw :smoker:

lol fds are fun :) what I did after engine 4 .... mine was built and owned by a ex mechanic from gotham racing

Beodude 04-04-2011 10:12 AM

Sucks that your car is probably dead... You should try and find an 06 up manual. I'm pretty sure Fd's had their share of problems too.

superhypered 04-04-2011 12:41 PM

i just saw a competition yellow FD FS on the rx7club forums.. thats probably the only thing that can replace my 8.. i love that black and yellow look. sigh.. I'm still hoping they call us today, because my mom doesnt care about my stealth side markers, the spoiler, and my license plate, blah blah blah it goes with the car.. shes only going to mention the bass dial i have in it.

ekliptik 04-04-2011 03:32 PM

i want ur glove box. mines pretty scratched when i bought the car.

anyways. they decided to total out the car?

superhypered 04-04-2011 03:39 PM

still waiting on the verdict :dunno:

i hope it is.. even if they repaired it for me, I think it'll be 2g a year for insurance alone.. so everyone whos been telling me to just get another 8, im not sure if I can afford one right now

ekliptik 04-04-2011 03:43 PM

what were you paying monthly on the 8 before this happened?

superhypered 04-04-2011 03:53 PM

um.. like, $120? it was $778 every 6 months..

DocBeech 04-05-2011 03:56 AM

change companies I pay 640 a year full coverage.

superhypered 04-05-2011 10:50 AM

with which company? im with state farm and my parents have been with them for over 20 years.. but it pissed me off when he said the ambulance ride would raise my insurance too

DocBeech 04-05-2011 02:10 PM

I use USAA, its for military, veterans, and children of people who are veterans. So if your or your parents ever served it would be good to look into.

Otherwise just shop around, as long as you do all of your quotes in two weeks it wont hurt your credit. I would say wait until you find another vehicle. Then when you know for sure you can buy it and you have been approved hit everyone up. Make a list and have the phone numbers ready before hand so all the research is done.

I pay a total of 130 dollars a month this cycle. Thats for full coverage on the RX8, 1958 Porsche, and for my property insurance. 60 a month for the RX8 full coverage and my liability is 100,000 right now. Full coverage on the 1958 with the same liability coverage for 40 dollars a month, and 30 dollars a month for my property insurance, flood insurance, and so on.

superhypered 04-06-2011 04:11 AM

oh, that.. Well they never served.. But regardless, I had full coverage, so I might just go lower. Also, I could just buy a pos car with liability insurance, so if I total it, no loss

The most I have gotten on a tank was 386 which is roughly 26-27 miles a gallon, but I was going 55-65 and drafting behind big trucks. In the city I average around 17 MPG and HWY roughly 20 MPG. But I have gotten as low as 8 MPG with a heavy foot and need for speed. That was doing 150+ MPH. Sorry this isn't much help, but empty the tank, put in 13 gallons exactly, empty again and make sure you are getting that bad of MPG. Make sure you aren't flooring it everywhere.

superhypered 07-06-2011 10:06 PM

Where are you going that fast :scratchhe btw thanks for the thread revival, I've figured out my personal mpg problem :)

Hesselrode 07-06-2011 10:24 PM

Today I put in $8 and got roughly 10 miles out of it lol. Having bad engine issues, electrically. Bought maf tonight to hopefully fix it. What fixed ur bad mpg. I did that speed on I-44 in Missouri.

superhypered 07-07-2011 04:06 AM

ah, i see, well, I crashed my 8, and bought a somewhat fuel efficient car. I say somewhat because all my driving is strictly city, because I live so close to work.. anyways, thats 22 mpg i get now. But, I always say this: The quest for better MPGs will bring you more mileage on your odometer, as the highway is the only way to achieve that. With that said, I now enjoy my car and keep note of what mpgs I get and dont really care if its somewhat poor due to city driving
