I'm mainly having issues getting behind that metal bracket and didnt know if anyone knew how to get that off without braking it, I called 6 dealerships and they didn't know what I was talking about and wanted me to bring it in

Ouch, that sucks. Personally I'm not sure how you will manage getting that back out, but I would imagine the fuse block splits apart somewhere for you to get access. It had to go together, right? :P Good luck!

Look closely at the fuse box. It does split into pieces or modules. Other than that, not sure. It has been a bit since I did fans and fogs and was in that part of the car.

This is for series 2 but maybe they are similar?

Sorry to bump an old thread but was there a solution to this problem?
I'm having the same problem, the bolt fell and is stuck behind the metal plate. |

I don't have a dremal, could I use a regular drill and a bit to make a hole in the back?
Would it damage the fuse box in any way? |
