What's the deal with engine mounts?

I need some. What should I get? Not racing and don't mind a slight increase in NVH.
TIA,
Vince

Ugh, did you at least make an attempt to Search? This has been covered to death.

Brand new OEM
Fill your existing mounts with urethane
RX8Performance mounts
RaceRoots mounts
A few others...

To be fair, I read his post as asking for opinions on the different options available, which isn't actually something that is hugely covered.

If you want only a slight increase in NVH, then filling an OEM set with urethane is probably the cheapest way to get there. BHR's motor mount option comes with interchangeable pucks, so you can pick between 3 different levels of stiffness, and swap as you want.

+1 for DIY OEM if you can live without the car for a day.

True, however in the corresponding threads about each there is quite a lot of discussion. I have the RX8 Performance mounts and any increase they made in NVH was forgotten a week or so later. I'm quite happy with them.

I asked the UA to make me a set of the filled and he doesn't make them anymore. I thought something bad might have happened.
The RX8 Performance looks like the way to go for me.
Thanks!
Vince

I'm running the Race Roots solid mounts. They are great, but you will notice a lot of NVH in lower rpms. I'm used to solid mounts in piston engines with lumpy cams though. The rotary with it's smooth idle is night and day different. They also raise the engine about a half inch.

Hope this helps some.
