What are the subframes made out of?

I tried searching for the info but couldn't find it. I'm looking for the specific type of steel the subframes are made out of. If anyone could point me in the direction of something that would tell me what everything on the car is made of that would be great. I'm planning on welding and modifying some stuff and I want to make sure I don't make any mistakes.

Here is a Body Shop Manual for the RX-8, in PDF and 111 pages, I am pretty sure it tells you the grade and type of steel and aluminium used.

Here is a download link I will leave active for a while..only 4.4 MB

Sorry I cant be bothered looking for you, let me know IF the info is there OK..

The body shop manual doesn’t include the subframes because they’re an easily replaceable bolt-on part whereas the body is a welded structure. They’re both likely high tension steel, but for your modification purposes you’re likely overthinking it. Unless you can perform the specific preheat, postheat, stress relief, etc. procdures then it really won’t matter.

I likely am overthinking it. I just want as much information as possible on everything that I'll be working on.
