I have been talking about my P1688 in another thread when someone mentioned after seeing my freeze frame that i have a LTFT 7%, why is that good or bad? also asked if i had any mods. I have everything stock. here is my freeze frame again, if someone with greater knowledge can explain pls. I am totally a dum ass when it comes to technical issues.

Here are 9,000 answers to that question (you may have to copy and paste this Google link into your browser). Try doing a little research. It's fun!

Long....

It means long term fuel trim, and that is the "rough" tune the car uses for cold starts, before the closed loop feedback starts varying the STFT.

7% seems fairly normal, mine was reading 30% when I had a small vacuum leak.

Yeah, up to 12% is OK.
22% or more is bad.
Anything inbetween can be interpreted differently depending on its affect on the car's drivability.
30% is as far as the PCM can go.
