Weird DTC Code
 

I had a code scanner to check out the CEL light on the car..... wierdest thing is that i return with a DTC P0353 and P0354 Which is not in the workshop manual.

According to the generic DTC codes Both P0353 and P0354 = ignition coil failure

I'm a bit confused here...

Physical sympthoms are hesitation after 7000k with sudden power coming on and off. loss of power below 3000k

someone have an idea what's going on?

the scanner is not fully rx-8 compliant so you are gettign a generic code. you probably have a burn tcoil or two. try swapping the coils between leadign and trailing. let us know if you can feel a difference

I have the same problem.

I checked it with a scanner and it says for my coils a & c and i rechecked after clearing, and it gives a problem again 2 days later with the scangauge now, the P0353. i think are my coils.
