Vacuum Testing Oil Injectors
I've look around the site using Google, and I saw a lot of threads regarding the injectors, but not the point where they are considered out of tolerance.
Here is my situation; I have a reman on my car. Had it about 25, 000 miles. I put the Sohn adapter on pretty much immediately. I saw the dirty engine oil go away, so I thought all was well. My oil consumption has always been a bit low, but I didn't really think about it much. Well, I drove cross country, and it took pretty much no oil. I have been premixing from the very start, so I'm not super worried about damage, but its definitely something I want to fix. So, if anybody in So Cal wants to help out, it would be much appreciated! |
Yep that is correct. You can clean them out with brake cleaner and they should hold vacuum then. No need to buy new ones.

Sweet! Thanks guys! All I have to do is take off the upper intake mani, and they're right there, right? Any special tools needed?

special tools to take it out? no, you can use whatever to take it out.
