Vacuum hose diagram

Please I need a vacuum hose diagram for my 2006 RX8(automatic). I live in a small island and the mechanics here aren't familiar with the Rx8. Please help me. Thank you.

DarkBrew 04-12-2011 09:40 PM

I don't have the auto but this should be similar

elysium19 04-12-2011 10:14 PM

Catch can and a few more labels...

DeViLbOi 04-13-2011 04:24 PM

Only problem with that is that not everyone has a catch can so it should be labeled as such. Hate for some n00b to wander around for hours looking for his non-existent catch can.

Dammed Noobs!!!

I think I was using that drawing to illustrate where to place the catch can when someone asked about it....

There is Jon's original as well...

Which one of those is the vacuum line leading to the omp?

HiFlite999 06-01-2012 11:53 AM

It should be noted that the diagram is for 04/05 models, not 06-08.

One line wraps around the back of the alternator and leads to the front RHS of the engine, another is a short one leading to the bank of solenoids on the top of the Upper Intake Manifold, and a third disappears under the UIM - I'm told that's the one.

1) they aren't vacuum lines...
2) none of the lines go to the omp directly, only the nozzles as illustrated in the pic above.

Look at the accordian tube. There are 3 lines coming from it. One goes to the OMP.

OK... lets cover the basics of the three lines since the illustration doesn't seem to help.
Line 1) Goes to the oil fill neck.
Line 2) Goes to the LIM for the "Jet Air Fuel Mixing" system.
Line 3) Goes to the oil injectors, which is NOT the OMP (Oil Metering Pump) itself.

The pump itself does not have any air/vac lines going to it and saying so only confuses others who are reading and trying to understand the system.

None of those are vacuum lines

located before throttle body = air vent or supply line

located after throttle body = vacuum line

nycgps 06-03-2012 11:58 AM

there are only couple of vacuum lines in this car, none of which goes to omp.

damn, compare to my FC I just rebuild/started ... which is like a holy land for vacuum lines and solenoids ...

dannobre 06-03-2012 01:02 PM

LOL...you want vac line hell...buy an FD :)

nycgps 06-03-2012 07:15 PM

I have labelled the diagram for the pipe i am not sure about, I took my car for ssv valve reeplacement to the mechanic, he forgot to put that pipe back in to the hose. I later checked and got mad at him. He told me it does not matter that much wether you put it back or not.
Also the same pipe is a bit losely settled on the hose due to faulty plastic bend.

I have a 2007 I just got done replacing the plugs, wires and coils because it's got a miss and when I had put everything back together and started it up the car was still missing. I looked everything over and I noticed a hose laying on top of the belt. It's about 8 or 9 inches long and I looked all over and can't figure out where it came from. Was hoping someone could give me any ideas?

Nobody can know from the info provided. Where on the diagram shown above is the other end attached to? Or pictures showing where it's attached would help ...

alright so i've been looking for a part number for this hose forever and cannot for the life of me find it. i've searched all over the FSM and different parts sites. The closest thing i can find is N3H1-20-342B but there are three different vacuum lines coming off the accordion tube all different length and bends but I can only find that one part number. Any insight would be much appreciated.

This should be the hose going from the accordion tube to the oil metering nozzles.
