STP fuel treatment

Does the STP complete fuel system http://www.stp.com/fuel_cfsc.html compete those discussed in the forum ? (i.e. redline). For some reason only STP, wynns and some cheap and not well-known brands are sold here.

I have a bulk pack of the STP stuff in my closet that I use since it's not very expensive. It may not be as good as the more expensive stuff but if used regularly I'm sure it seems to help keep things clean.

It's more of a piece of mind thing.

How can you tell if any of that stuff works?

IMHO, the best reason for buying STP products is because Andy Granatelli is really cool. Not sure if there's a good reason to actually use the stuff.

I saw this stuff today @ NAPA, does it really work? Do we pour it in the gas tank?

Has anyone tired seafoam?

I used the STP stuff for 2 months. It does not even compare with the Red Line fuel additive. With the STP additive, I did not see any performance increase or gas mileage improvement.

I will vouch for Red Line, I got an improvement in gas mileage and a bit better acceleration according to my G-Timer. Even breaking down the ingredients, you can see that Red Line is better for an RX-8, because its also a lube and deposit cleaner.
