Trouble installing springs. Need Help!

I'm in the process of installing my Tein s-tech springs and hit a snag doing the rears. I can't seem to get the 14mm nut on the sway bar link off. I got the nut broken free but the inner screw just turns witht he nut and the threads are pretty rusty. I tried using a hex key in the screw and turning the nut but it won't budge. If anybody could help me out it would really be appreciated.

An air wrench would likely break the nut loose, but I suspect you don't have that.

So here's plan A: soak the thread area around the nut with lots of Liquid Wrench or WD-40, let it set for awhile, tap lightly on the perimeter of the nut periodically, apply more LW, tap on the nut some more, and so on. Keep doin' that until the nut breaks loose.

Plan B: try holding the bolt as best you can with the hex wrench, and with a box wrench on the nut, give the end of the wrench a sharp rap. That might just break the nut loose.

A combination of both approaches will eventually work the nut loose.

You could also try some PB Blaster to loosen things up. I've used this stuff countless times and it hasn't failed me yet. This stuff penetrates like Ron Jeremy on Viagra! :D

just hold the other side of the link with a pair of vice grips...but soak everything with some penetrating oil.

If all fails, use a plasma cutter

and think about it, its one way to get your nut off!!

PB/Liquid wrench together

this isn't a frozen bolt around that can stand up this cocktail-!
