Transmission and Diff Bolt Head Sizes

Hey everyone,

I am having trouble finding what the bolt head sizes are that hold the transmission to the PPF and the PPF to the Diff. I am going to be taking off the PPF so I can pull the engine and transmission out as one and I've searched all over and have specs for bolt lenghts and got M12x1.25 but thats not the head sizes I need. I tried the following search options in the Search Field..."PPF Bolt head sizes", "transmission bolt sizes", "transmission to power plant frame bolts", "transmission bolts", and even the generic "bolt head sizes" and got nothing as to what I am looking for. Anyone have any information on that? Thanks.

'21mm socket' is the answer I believe you are looking for.

Be prepared for many big ftlbs. Recommend you get hardened/impact grade sockets. You will need a deepwell socket for at least one of the nuts. If you don't have much clearance under the car, you may also need a 3-5 inch extension to get the breaker bar to clear the PPF for the needed rotation.

There are tricks and ideal ways of mounting them all back up, so if you don't know those, ask before putting the PPF back on.

Thank you so much! Yea, I'm heading to Sears after this post to get the socket and a breaker bar. The car is up on jack stands right now (front and back) and I think I'll have enough clearance. This helps so much you have no idea! Thanks a ton!

Highly recommend going for as long of a breaker bar as you can. I have an 18" breaker bar and had to add a 3ft extension to get them free.

I have a 3' steel rod, I will buy the breaker bar tomorrow.

Be careful putting it back on I dropped the ppf on my face when I was putting mine back on. I had been at it for about 8 hours and put one side on the bolts and looked at the other side next thing I know bang. Worst thing is then you still have to bench press it up and attach it whilst the blood is coming out of your cheek.... I know I'm a dumb ass
