Ten year anniversary and ten years of maintenance logs

Well, I haven't been active in many years on this site, but still use it routinely as an invaluable reference source. Last Friday marked the 10th anniversary of bringing home my beloved RX8 from the dealer (which was celebrated by buying a new battery thanks to the harsh Chicago cold : ). Since I work mostly from home I'm not racking up the miles that I used to, but she's still my trusty daily driver, and have absolutely no regrets of ownership... I hope despite the many little things I'm having to fix constantly now, I can keep her on the road for many more years.

Anyway, since day 1, I have been keeping a detailed log of every gas fill-up, mileage details, oil changes, maintenance work, tires, batteries, brakes, upgrades/mods, etc. I figured now that I had 10 years of solid data saved up, it might be of some benefit to share it with the community... either for reference, to use as a template of your own, or scare off potential owners :P

Keep the shiny side up, ya'll!

That is a nice summary. I have 6K more miles than you, but a few less batteries. I've also gone through a few more tires, brakes, transmissions, clutches......

Hey... good to see you again. Yeah, one of those batteries was replaced due to a physical defect, and another one I made Mazda replace with the cold winter version. I'm hoping this latest one will give me 4-5 years.

How many cats are you up to now? I'm still on the original (after a couple years with an aftermarket high-flow that failed).

Too many cats to count. I got one replaced just under the 80K warranty.

Woah... you mean we can still get one before the 80k mark, even though we're over 10 years old?? I'm pretty sure mine is on it's way out at this point.

It's always "whichever comes first", and the cat warranty is 8yr 80,000. You are past the 8yr so past the warranty.

Ok... thanks... I thought it was 8 years. I'll probably pick up a new high-flow in the spring. Along with motor mounts, shocks, radiator, etc :banghead:
