Mazda do not do "Rebuild Kits" for OEM Gearboxes..

All parts have to be individually ordered from a Mazda Dealer, if you do not want to go that path then car wrecker or junk yard for compete trans.

IF you are going to crack open your box, I suggest the following, all synchro rings, bearings, possibly change forks, input shaft seal and rear extension housing (prop shaft) seal.

Check other parts like gears and sleeves for excess wear, replace what is needed.

Is your problem a 3 to 4 shift and/or 4th to 3rd?

I have a guy to reveiw and rebuild it if you like. I also have lots and lots of new parts for the 04-08 trans.

A more proper (and more expensive) solution is the 09-10 gearbox. It fixes the problems inherent in the earlier model box. About $2K. Depending on how catastrophic your box is, your looking about under $1K for a build with several new synchros and 3/4 shifter fork replacement. The fix for the 04-08 box is to shift it very, very, very slowly and gently. 3 to 4 speed shifts can toast a new box in an afternoon. We use to bring 2 extra fresh gear boxes to the track when we rented our cars in Grand-Am and new drivers would toast them EVERY RACE. True.
