When I did my nitrous kit I decided not to use that area for the nozzle as I was fearful of improper nitrous/fuel mixing with that location being so close to the throttle body and the turn in the intake manifold. Plus, I had no clue what the box was. Thanks for the info. I wonder how well that location worked.

just my $0.02 worth :D

Get a PVC end cap for a 3/4inch pipe that should do it. then crank the strap around it.. done.

My little resonance chamber seems to have a vacuum line coming off of it. Is it just mine? I don't see it in the picture above. You'd need to relocate that too.

It is routed around it.. not coming off of it.

FYI- I found some more info on this resonance chamber (and a bit conflicting)... from my RX8 book by Jack Yamaguchi, it states that this chamber "acoustically pumps in more air and adds a few more horsepower." If I remember correctly, my Miata's intake tract also had one of these for the same reason...

hmmmm... well I'm going to go a couple of tanks with the stock intake and chamber - to see how "performance" is as well as fuel mileage. I'll then take out the chamber to compare things with my butt dyno and fuel mileage.

So did anyone ever end up takingout the chamber and plugging the hole?? I am interested inhow this affected performance and sound.

Plug it with a BOV
