start learning my engine + repairs
i love my 8 and my rotary engine, and rotaries in general, and i want to start to become familiar with my engine and repairs and how to fix things. basically i want to be a rotary mechanic. i know all the basics of how rotaries work and all and am familiar with car parts in general but not a ton, just a bit above the basics id say. there are no rotary shops in my houston area so how can i learn all this without help from an experienced rotary mechanic? if any of yall could share how you got into car mechanics and learned how to work with your rotaries it would be greatly appreciated.

The factory service manual has step by step on nearly every repair and maintenance item for the vehicle.

Just read through the forums on all topics that cover the questions you have.
This site has gathered quite a bit of information over the last 8 years... Learning to search will help with your goals. Click the google link in my sig for a reliable searching method |
I'm still learning for just looking and reading on this site. Need to learn more about the rx8 too :suspect:

i couldnt really find any threads about what im looking for. i didnt really know what to type in to the search to find the rigth results

I think you're looking for the golden egg to be revealed in a single thread. In order to understand the whole engine, you must read through multiple threads. There is no "how to learn everything" thread. And if there is, I have yet to find it...

by searching through this website, you will never find what you need, you have better odds at winning the lottery, go to google.ca ( canada rules ) type in rx8club.com: ( your question here )
