Squeaking Clutch

Over the last week or so my RX8 has produced a squeaky clutch. Just after the clutch is pressed halfway it starts squeaking. I've tried it with the engine off so I can hera where its coming from and it doesnt seem to be from the pedal itself....
Is it as simple as giving something a little grease?

Cheers

OMFG ! SEARCH !

Theres a TSB on this issue, but its for US market. but I guess its the same for other version.

So you can reproduce the sound with the engine off?

The number one squeaky clutch issue right now is from the lower limit switch (TSB) but it sounds like you have a different issue. Check the cylinder at the firewall.

Take it to the dealer so they can tell you, "I'm sorry sir but we can't reproduce the sound"

have you brought it to the dealer? try to check your mazda clutch master cylinder it might be bad and needs a replacement.

There's another current thread about someone's broken mounting bracket. Squeaking wasn't mentioned but you might look yours over to be sure you don't have a cracked weld anywhere on the pedal assembly.

Thanks for the advice nycgps but I have searched and cant find someone with the same problem as me.

Anyway. Took the car to Mazda last week, they did hear the squeak and reckon the clutch needs replacing but is only covered for 9000 miles or 6 months.
I was not satisfied, Im sure its not that bigger deal. So I took it to a friend of mine who owns a garage who specializes in ferrari & Lambo maintanence and luckily is also an authorised Mazda repairer to look at it.
His opinion was its just the clutch pivot that needs greasing, he took it for a spin and said it feels and operates fine, just needs a bit of grease on the pivot....
Im pleased with that, but i've tried search and cant find anything on where to find or grease this pivot? Im not sure where this guy ment it was but was definately under the bonnet and not in the car.

Any ideas?
Thanks

If its the Clutch Cut switch, replacement is needed.

if its just some parts needs greasing, any grease will do, just buy them at your local autoshop, oh get some good quality ones tho.l
