speed sensor location
Is the speed sensor located on the Trans (specifically the manual) and if so where? If not where is it located?

The speed sensors are located at each wheel:

and that is what controls the speedo? how does that work if there are four? I thought those were for the ABS, stability and traction control?

even in the picture it says ABS speed sensor. I don't have any of that stuff as I swapped the motor into my beetle and need to wire up the Speedometer.

Speed sensor is on the tranny.
Three prong connector, white/black&light blue/black&yellow. Sends pulses to the PCM, which sends a speed signal to the gauge pod. Good luck! |

VSS (Vehicle Speed sensor) or transmission speed sensor. After looking for days I found it. |
