Socket for Rear 02 Oxygen Sensor
Good Evening Everyone!
After all these years, I finally got an check engine light. Codes are P2259 and P0037. Already have the air valve/solenoid and the rear/downstream 02 Oxygen Sensor on order due to the codes. My questions is, do I really need a special socket to get the rear 02 sensor off? If so, does this work: If I don't really need that 02 socket wrench (mentioned above), can I use a regular wrench? I'm assuming 22mm will work? Thanks and any other useful information/knowledge is greatly appreciated. |
Some times they can be a bitch to get off. I have an O2 socket but most of the times I just use a 22mm box end wrench.

Just and FYI, I got the rear 02 Sensor off fairly easy. It was harder to move that damn guard from around it due to the bolts being rusted and couldnt remove it.

What size socket is recommended for the upstream o2?

I Believe it's a 22mm as well. Same as back o2.
