Should I clean/reuse stock injectors? or just buy new S2 injectors?

it sounds stupid to buy new injectors when the stock one is working fine

assume that money is "non" issue right now.

I have been thinking : Im at 58K almost 59K, and we all know those "injector cleaners" do almost nothing.

and I know S2 P1/P2 injectors flow a tiny bit more (390 vs 380) and it shouldn't effect much (fuel trim), hmm, anybody try the S2 injectors in S1 running stock tune yet ?

I dont think it would work since different system.

The injectors would work size wise...but unless the latencies are identical you would be much better staying on the original injectors

Get the S1 injectors cleaned and flow tested and they should be good

beside the 8 run crazy rich already, why you want a bigger injectors....

olddragger 08-29-2010 10:43 AM

they do have a much better spray pattern and the latency is compatible.
Properly used they have shown to increase the power even on a na car. Bet many didnt know that.
On a fi car it makes really good sense to use them if the flow is what you need.

Would you not need a COBB to take advantage of this?

will do sir :)

I doubt the spray pattern is that bad with only 58k. Injectors have gotten more and more reliable over the years and even the series 1 has a modern design compared to say some F-150 Bosch EV1 injectors from the 90s.

Mine at 85K were clean, but I sent them off anyway since I had time to kill on my rebuild. I have my report printout somewhere around this mess....

Brettus 08-30-2010 08:12 PM

I had 3 yellows with the caps taken off - all flowed within a couple of ccs of eachother . Makes me wonder if this 'flow matching' palava is overated theses days ..... just sayin' :)
