Hi bse,

Looking at this as you asked. It's a little difficult for me to speculate, as I found a bunch of these resources by searching myself, but the list is quite comprehensive.

I like that you listed the foxed.ca link to the manual. I didn't find that until last week, and it never occurred to me to have it ready in the first place when I was tinkering with stuff. I usually just followed the instructions on the part I purchased, or find the relevant DIY.

You may want to also list something regarding the appearance packages. I know it's not important to everyone, but I'm sure it would be useful to some.

I also think that while it is certainly useful, it may only alleviate some of the new posts. The search "key terms" is a very good addition, but a lot of the links seem to be stickies already. So if they're ignoring the stickies what would make this thread any different?

I don't really think there is one solution to the issue at hand. I think it will take a concentrated effort on the part of mods, admins, and the community as a whole to move forward. Some of that may just be dealing with the new members posting dumb questions. Post like these definitely make the search easier, but it won't stop the drive-by users looking for quick and easy answers.

Bse50, nice job really looks good. I like the way it is categorized. My only question is what makes you think that people who do not search will find this thread? It will be nice if it were made a sticky, however there already plenty of informative stickies and yet we still have the same problem. While I applaud you effort, I am not sure it is going to have the desired effect.

Look at it the other way around...
If somebody doesn't search we can link him to this thread instead of replying with a rude comment!
