rich/lean question

Whats up,

Ive been thinking and when you first think about it, when the weather gets hot you think the engine will run leaner. But when its cold the air is more dense , therefore when its hot outside the engine will run richer, right?

Move to Canada, in the winter you'll burn a lot less fuel and get higher mpgs. Of course, we don't measure things in MPGs here, so you'll really only get 11-12L/100, but hey, you win some on the cold weather, you lose some on the unit conversion, it all balances out.

The computer has internal correction tables to account for differences in atmospheric conditions. After applying those corrections it uses the oxygen sensor to make final corrections to the mixture. The result is that your air fuel ratios don't fluctuate that much. That's the advantage of modern electronic fuel injection.

cool air = good

I don't know much ... but i'm pretty sure that is the case
