REVi intake

dose racing beat make the revi intake for automatics? what are some good air intakes i like the revi because its not loud and ricer like others but it still works pretty well while keeping the car fairly stock

NgoRX8 01-10-2007 04:06 PM

they work on automatics too.

ChaseRX8 01-10-2007 04:09 PM

ok good because on the one website its said manual transmissions only

N rider89 01-10-2007 06:49 PM

its probably fine i know there are a few AT that have them on.

probably only minor differences in the install

Mazda-Rati 01-10-2007 08:16 PM

Autos do not have a VFAD so you shouldn't have to take off the front bumper for the install.

redcivic 01-10-2007 08:17 PM

Don't waste your money dude.

N rider89 01-10-2007 08:28 PM

how is it a waste of money?

redcivic 01-10-2007 08:42 PM

Ummm, because you spend over $300.00 and your car will be no faster.

N rider89 01-10-2007 08:56 PM

ah i dont know, its his choice really. hopefully he did some research and know that going in.

i knew that info going in and while i do feel only a little bit more pull, i still do think that it was worth it.

redcivic 01-10-2007 09:00 PM

No, it's definately his choice, but I have raced plenty of 8's with standard bolt ons at the track and have beaten every one. wanna get faster? Get better tires and learn how to drive.

N rider89 01-10-2007 09:09 PM

i completly agree tires are a much better upgrade to a real racer. learning to drive better is probably the best upgrade you can do.

for just recreational (can think of a better term) person i think its an ok purchase

If he gets the ram air duct, he'll need to remove the bumper though.
