I replaced the windshield on a 2004 Toyota Solara (Company car) and it was $890 for a model with the dimming mirror and compass. I just replaced the RX windshield and the deductable on the insurance was $100. The glass company gave me a credit of $100 for using them so in the end insurance covered 100%.
Definately get good insurance on a nice car like this. You will be thankful later. |
call Safelite, it will be way less than OE ...

I had mine replaced by Safelite as well after a stone hit the edge and opened a foot long crack. $460 but I only paid a $100 glass deductable. The replacement glass that I got was from PPG and had all of the same edging, sunscreening as the OEM, I am satisfied with the quality.

I paid $240 last year, from a local glass place.

mine was covered on the insurance but the quote from safelite was $420

the car windshield was replaced once before i bought it. now the rearview mirror doesnt sit tightly. its possible to just grab it, and pull it off. makes it difficult to adjust, because you dont want to pull it off. i tried completely loosening the bolt, and then tightening it again. but to no avail. any advice?
