removing the screens on my aem cai
would it help to remove the screens on my aem cai
|
No.. it'll do more harm.
The screens are there to smooth the airflow and reduce turbulence over the MAF sensor. I recall one company experimenting with removing one screen, but didn't gain much at all (correct me if I'm wrong). |

thats what i was thinking but i have read that some people remove the screens in the stock air box and get a better result

Racing Beat found each screen loses about 1HP. Some stock intakes idle fine with one and the RB intake gets by with one.

Just remember, those screens are there for a reason. Not for looks.
