Rebuilt engine - help identify washer

Hi guys,

I rebuilt my 2008 RX8 (Auto transmission) engine and found a washer in my part bags that I can't figure out where it goes. I'm hoping that anyone who rebuilt their engines can remember a 'lone' washer. It looks like there is a circle compression mark on the one side, like it was being used as a washer under a bolt or spacer.

The washer is ID 0.475" (12.15mm) and OD 0.715" (18.15mm). It will slip over the OMP shaft, and over the end of the oil pump shaft where you bend up the soft washer to lock the oil pump sprocket wheel in.

It was in my bag of front cover / oiling system. Either as a spacer for the oil regulators, oil control valve, OMP system.

Or maybe it just fell in my bag? Driving me crazy wondering where it goes. I don't think it's a washer for a bolt, as the ID size is large compared to most bolt sizes. And these is only 1 of these washers on the whole engine.

Thanks if anyone remembers!

I'm gonna say none of the above. If I remember right the washers for the OMP lines/injectors are copper. There's a washer of similar size for the water temp sensor... You sure you didn't just get a crush washer for the oil drain plug from the oil pan in that bag?

When I'm in Pewaukee, WI next, I will buy you a keg !!
It's the water temp sensor. I noticed it had a bit of corrosion on the outside so it wasn't an internal washer. Which got me looking at this bolt. Very close in size. Which got me looking at the other side (the temp sensor). You're post came in right as I was in the middle of it. Confirmed and closed.

I'm pretty detailed, so it was bugging me pretty bad.
Thank you very much.
