Rearview Mirror Button
Has anyone tried removing the rearview mirror button from the window? The rearview mirror is directly in my line of sight i tried to get the dealer to move it and was told no....which leads to try and find out why. Anyone know?

I've seen people just flip it upside down

the mirror is as far up as it can be made to go without moving the button. which is why I asked if anyone has moved the button. I did search and the only thing I found was one post about someone getting the mirror with the button and glass still attached...which is what made me pause prior to attempting it myself. jedi thank you for the recommendation I have in fact just tried it upside down and it does work somewhat. still will be in my way for some of the on/off ramps and anytime I have to look across the windshield closer, but if nothing better comes along thanks for the suggestion

so no one on here tried moving the entire mirror up farther?

It bothered me at first, but as soon as I flipped it upside down, it was perfect. Just a couple days to get used to. And the Autodimmer works better if you have a spoiler...

Take it to a body shop.

this is interesting, but I don tthink i understand the situation people are having with the rear view mirror. it gets in yoru way when looking to the right? Are you guys with the issue just really tall, or sit really close to the steering wheel? I gotta check this out when I get in my car in a lil bit.

yeah the mirror is blocking my view while looking right. i'm 6'1 so not really tall, have the seat lowered all the way but cannot lean my seat back as far as i used to, do to placing the kids seat behind me so that it would be possible to take a third adult with me if needed, but irregardless I never reclined enough in the car to not have a problem with the mirror.
as for the autodimmer....i never had a problem with mine. |
